Brenda Schaufele is licensed to practice Acupuncture in the State of Pennsylvania and is certified in Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She studied Acupuncture at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) in Manhattan and graduated from the Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine in NJ. Brenda is continuing her studies at The Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine to complete her study in Chinese herbal medicine in the summer of 2013.
Before becoming a student of acupuncture and herbal medicine Brenda attended the University of California San Diego(USCD). There she studied Animal Physiology and Neuroscience, giving her a strong understanding of the nervous system, anatomy, chemistry, bio-medicine, nutrition and physics. After moving from California, Brenda matriculated to The Pennsylvania State University. Here she graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biological Science. Her studies at Penn State focused in the areas of medicine, with courses covering biology, chemistry, physics and calculus.
During Brenda’s studies at Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine she had the soldier great fortune to study under Japanese Master Kiiko Matsumoto. Ms. Matsumoto is internationally known for her work in acupuncture and interpretation of the Chinese Classic texts. With this influence Brenda’s studies extended past Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) and added an important component of Japanese Acupuncture. Brenda is also trained in 5-element acupuncture and Constitutional Facial Rejuvenation™.
Brenda Schaufele is a member of the Association for Professional Acupuncture in Pennsylvania(APA), and a Member of the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine(NCCAOM).
